This transition into a Senior Geotechnical role will be marked by a switch in primary focus, to design and risk mitigation strategies - rather that on the ground implementation and compliance.

 

This company has one of the larger geotechnical divisions and structures in WA (12+). Comprised solely of geotechnical staff, they have a site based team and a Perth based team. The site based guys take care of the implementation and small scale design review, changes and daily monitoring. Leaving those of you in the corporate based team to focus on higher level design, slope optimization projects, contribute to corporate risk management profiles and training and delivery of this to other staff members to name a few. The operations that you will span across, see a mixture of commodities in the one site. One core pit and multiple satellite pits, including zinc, copper, gold and silver. Someone who gets bored easily with the same old iron ore talk will benefit from a bit of variety.
